In December 2022, the academician project "Building a New Membrane Material Equipment Industry System to Achieve Green, Low Carbon, and Zero Emission of Coal Chemical Wastewater" submitted by Delan was approved. The project, together with Qu Jiuhui, an academician of the CAE Member, a foreign academician of the National Academy of Engineering of the United States, and an academician of the Academy of Sciences of Developing Countries, and his team, is based on the Silk Road Economic Belt and the substitution of imported products, to develop advanced membrane materials, components and equipment such as anti pollution and easy cleaning hollow fiber membranes, special tubular membranes, highly selective nanofiltration membranes, and powerful catalytic membranes. The comprehensive production capacity is about 10 million square meters per year, and the expected output value is 900 million yuan. The project will build a national cutting-edge industrial base for new membrane materials.

With the goal of "graded and quality treatment resource recovery low-carbon zero emission" of coal chemical wastewater, a series of key technologies including system pretreatment, membrane integration, and resource recovery will be developed to create a new green development model for coal water coordination and comprehensive utilization of resources and energy, and to promote the improvement of water efficiency in national and regional coal chemical and related industries.
