Xinjiang Environmental Pollution Control and Ecological Restoration Engineering Technology Research Center (hereinafter referred to as the “Engineering Center”) takes Xinjiang Environmental Engineering Technology Co., Ltd as its supporting organization. Engineering Center will focus on the work to develop common and key technologies for reutilization of high contaminated industrial wastewater, push functionization and industrialization of major scientific and technological achievements of environment, make itself an important base to gather and train innovative talents of science and technology for environmental protection in the western China, organize science and technology exchanges and cooperation, demonstrate and promote new technologies to help protect the environment, as an important part of the national basic capacity construction of science and technology for environmental protection. Engineering Center will make every effort to solve key and common difficulties in resource recycling of industrial wastewater in China, establish related standards of industrial wastewater reuse and safety evaluation and technology security system of quality of reused water, meet technical requirements of national industrial wastewater reuse, and provide technical support and services in national management, supervision and determination on reutilization of wastewater.
Positioning: With the goal of meeting national and local major requirements, Engineering Center tries to play an important role in construction of technology research platform (hardware and software environment) for treatment and reutilization of high contaminated industrial wastewater, as well as development, achievement transformation and industrialization mechanism construction of key technologies for treatment and zero discharge of high contaminated wastewater in the industries such as coal chemical industry, petrochemical industry and textile industry, for serious pollution problems facing construction of Silk Road Economic Belt and great-leap-forward development of Xinjing, based on the international frontier in environment pollution and control with the western area as the base.
Goals: With the northwestern China as the base, Engineering Center tries to build itself into a domestically leading engineering technology research center with great influence in the world, and an important platform for related experts at home and abroad to work together on development of technologies to help treatment and reutilization of high contaminated industrial wastewater, to serve national construction of Silk Road Economic Belt and great-leap-forward development of the northwestern China, and provide scientific basis and technical support for “keeping mountains and rivers beautiful and remaining oases”. The Center also works to enhance scientific and technological innovation capacity for environmental protection in the northwestern China and builds itself into an important base in China for training high-level scientific and technological talents for environmental protection.
